GBU executed Memorandum of Understanding with Ecotech Instruements

Noida .As an “Academia-Industry Initiative”, the Memorandum of Understanding was executed on 15 July, 2021 between the Gautam Buddha University (GBU), Greater Noida and the UPSIDC Industrial Area, Kasna, Greater Noida based Ecotech Instruments- an ISO Certified (9001-2015) and NABL accredited company. The Company requested initially for association and technical support of the GBU’s Department of Environmental Science for developing battery operated PM 2.5 Air Monitoring Sampler and other air quality monitoring instruments in particular. Under the joint association, the Ecotech Instruments Company has accepted willingly to share its expertise for educational activities, project works, internships, capacity development programmes, research initiatives and support to placement to the learners of the Environmental Science, Applied Physics and related academic streams. The Company will display name of the GBU on Instruments developed under joint association.  This initiative will be instrumental in upscaling academic, research and outreach activities of the GBU’s Department of Environmental Science and R & D initiatives of the Ecotech Instruments. The MOU execution meeting was chaired by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the GBU Prof. Bhagwati Prakash Sharma Ji. The Registrar, GBU and Dean/Dean (I/C) of various Schools of the GBU, The Dean Academics, The Dean P&R and other members attended the meeting.  The Registrar of GBU Dr. Vishwas Tripathi welcomed the participating members, and the Dean P & R, Prof. P.K. Yadav introduced the MOU committee members to all.
The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the GBU Prof. Bhagawati Prakash Sharma necessitated the collaboration between industry and academia for the development and strengthening of the research infrastructure and skilled human resource in the area of Environmental Science. Prof. Sharma suggested to undertake a coordinated project and organize a brainstorming session by involving different disciplines, viz., Applied Physics, Applied Chemistry, Electrical Engineering and Biotechnology for the efficient monitoring of environment and development of novel pollution monitoring technologies.
The MOU was signed by Dr. Vishwas Tripathi, Registrar on behalf of the GBU and                 Dr. Rajendra Prasad, CEO on behalf of the Ecotech Instruments Company. Dr. Prasad shared about the activities and contributions of Ecotech Instruments Company.
The “Academia-Industry Initiative” got an acknowledgeable performance under the leadership of Prof. Bhagwati Prakash Sharma Ji, the Vice Chancellor of GBU. This is the 21st MOU executed by the GBU.
In his concluding remarks, The Dean Academics Prof. N.P. Melkania expressed his gratitude and thanks to Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Dr. Prasad and all the MOU Committee members for their valuable presence.
