Greater Noida.Today, the Department of Electrical Engineering, School of Engineering, Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida conducted valedictory Programme of One-Week (June 21-25, 2021), AICTE-ATAL Sponsored Professional Development Programme (PDP) in association with IEEE UP section on “Artificial Intelligence in Contemporary Biomedical & Healthcare Applications: Fundamentals and Hands on Matlab”. There was a huge response in the PDP of participants across the country due to GBU’s world class infrastructure and quality education.
The valedictory Programme started with welcome address by Ms. Pratiksha Gupta, host of the programme and Dr. Nidhi Singh, Head EED, followed by valedictory Speech by Prof. Bhagwati Prakash Sharma, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, GBU Gr. Noida, Prof. P. K. Yadav, Dean School of Engineering and Prof. Vinod Kumar, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT) Solan, the chief guest of the today’s function.
More than 250 participants across the country around 16 states of India participated in this AICTE-ATAL Sponsored PDP. More than 20 speakers across the country from IITs, NITs, IIITs and other universities delivered their lectures in the PDP. The main speakers who delivered the lecture sessions in the PDP are Prof. Ekram Khan, AMU Aligarh, Prof. A.K. Noida, Prof. Munna Khan, JMI New Delhi, Dr. Satish Kumar Singh, Chair IEEE UP Section, IIIT Allahabad, Er. J. K. L Prasad, Er. Mohd. Farooq and Er. Sumant Bhat, AD Instruments, South Asia Pvt. Ltd, Prof. Vinod Kumar, Vice Chancellor, JUIT Solan, Prof. R. S. Anand, IIT Roorkee, Er. Avneet Kaur, CETPA InfoTech. Ltd, Dr. M.A. Ansari, Coordinator of PDP, GBU Gr. Noida, Er. Pradeep B. & Er. Jigyasu, Integrated Microsystems Ltd. The PDP was ended with the session on mental & emotional development, stress management, meditation, health and happiness conducted by Prof. S. C. Handa, IIT Roorkee and Dr. Jay Singh, GLBITM Gr. Noida.

The aim of this PDP was to provide exposure to the faculty members, researchers, practicing engineers, medical professionals and other students in the field of Artificial Intelligence in Contemporary Biomedical; Healthcare Applications: Fundamentals and Hands on Matlab. This PDP provided a futuristic overview of Biomedical; health care concepts, technologies and emerging trends in post Covid-19 scenario. The FDP was mainly focused to highlight the issues in the health care and to capitalize Artificial Intelligence in Contemporary Biomedical & Healthcare Applications.
The Overall programme was coordinated by Dr. M. A. Ansari, Coordinator of the PDP, EED GBU Gr. Noida & hosted by Ms. Pratiksha Gupta. It was technically assisted by Dr. Krishan Kumar, Dr. Vinay Rana and Er. Rajat Mehrotra for online sessions & recordings. The programme ended with vote of thanks by Dr. M.A. Ansari, Coordinator of PDP, GBU Gr. Noida followed by National Anthem. The complete one-week PDP (June 21-25, 2021) was conducted in the online mode through Google Meet through GBU IT Support.
